Healthcare supply chain has increasingly attracted the attention of scholars, researchers, government officials, and clinicians as one of the primary strategies in their efforts to reduce healthcare costs while improving quality. Supply chain management is the coordination and collaboration of supply chain participants as a means to achieve system efficiency. The healthcare supply chain is one of these complex systems, with numerous players involved. This study is designed to answer the following questions: How significant is supply chain management to the healthcare sector? Are hospitals in Saudi Arabia properly implementing supply chain principles, techniques, and tools? The theories addressed contribute to a better understanding of supply chain management in hospitals. A case study was conducted at the International Medical Center in Jeddah to understand exactly how hospitals in Saudi Arabia are implementing supply chain management.en_US
