Abstract
The fridges are prepared to fit any kitchen and to help maintain the freshness and quality of the food. With the advent of urbanization and the evolution of cooking techniques, it has become increasingly challenging to store food outdoors, a practice that has been common for millions of years. As a result, refrigerators were developed, mainly to store food and protect it from outside elements in any environment. Refrigerators evolved with the demands and lifestyles of consumers, serving different needs and gradually shifting their focus to technology. Thus, the concept of smart refrigerators was born, providing a refrigerator with advanced technology, comfort, and convenience. This study proposes the idea of a mini smart refrigerator that fits seamlessly into our daily lives. For this purpose, interviews and surveys are conducted and answered by more than 20 people to understand the user's needs. After implementing the previous two stages, empathies and define, the third stage of the design process will take place to develop a clear concept. The result is a technology for the new product, derived and inspired by the dashboard and interaction in a car, adapted to the customer’s lifestyle. Subsequently, the fourth stage, which consists of prototyping, will be carried out. This concept is tested by producing different prototypes, a physical and tangible one that serves the purpose of the proposed idea. Finally, various tests are needed to check the functionality of the prototypes. These five stages are significant, and their implementation can be helpful in the production and sale stages.
