This architectural thesis focuses on the design of a Community Educational and Recreation Centre in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The project scope is to serve the local community with a total area approximation of 15,000 square meters on a 30,000 square meter site. The approach for this thesis involves a comprehensive research process that includes four main chapters: Introduction, Case Studies Analysis, Site Selection for the Proposed Community Center, and Building Program. This research approach results in a comprehensive documented pre-design process that provides guidance for the subsequent design phase. The outcome of this comprehensive research process is a well-selected site for the proposed project, a complete program, and a thorough understanding that equips the student with the necessary knowledge to confidently proceed with the design phase. This project being a recreational and educational community center means that it is characterized by its multifaceted nature, providing both recreational and educational opportunities to the community. The project is primarily characterized by the prominent presence of a library, which serves as its most significant feature. The recreational facilities within the center, such as sports areas, and multipurpose theatres, complement the educational focus of the library, creating a holistic environment that caters to the physical, mental, and intellectual well-being of the communityen_US
