Together Alone

Abstract

This fiction capstone project proposes an approximate twenty- five minute fiction film about a story of a two young teenager girls trying to achieve a mission to leave the orphange and start a new life but the concequences isn’t always fair.

The capstone project will undergo three distinct stages: pre-production, production, and post-production. Within my capstone film thesis, I will present three chapters that delve into the various aspects of the project.

In the first chapter, I will begin with an introduction, providing an overview of the project while also delving into the project description. Additionally, I will include background research, outlining the context and foundations upon which the film is built. The methodology employed in the creation of the film will also be discussed, highlighting the approach taken to bring the project to fruition. Furthermore, the significance of the project will be explored, emphasizing its relevance and impact. To provide a comprehensive understanding, the filmography and art style, along with references, will be included in this chapter.

Moving on to the second chapter, I will focus on key elements of the film's narrative and creative direction. The film logline will succinctly capture the essence of the story, while the synopsis will provide a more detailed overview. The treatment will further expand on the story, offering a glimpse into the plot, characters, and thematic elements. The script, which serves as the blueprint for the film, will be included as well, showcasing the dialogue and scene descriptions. Additionally, the chapter will feature insights into the character development and the music and sound design choices, as well as the director's statement, which offers the filmmaker's personal perspective and vision for the project.

The third chapter will encompass the crucial stages of pre-production, production, and post-production. Pre-production will detail the planning, organization, and logistical aspects of the film, such as casting, location scouting, and scheduling. Production will cover the actual filming process, including the execution of scenes, capturing footage, and working with the cast and crew. Finally, post-production will delve into the editing, sound design, visual effects, and overall refinement of the film, culminating in the final product.

Through these three chapters, I aim to provide a comprehensive and detailed exploration of the capstone project, highlighting its various components and processes involved in its creation.
