Abstract
This study explores the key factors shaping the success of women entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in emerging markets. Under the transformative Vision 2030 framework, Saudi Arabia has made significant strides in diversifying its economy and empowering women. Government policies, especially those under the National Transformation Program 2030, have played a crucial role in breaking down cultural barriers and creating a more supportive business environment for women. This has allowed women to make impressive progress in sectors like retail, services, and information technology. However, challenges remain, especially in industries traditionally dominated by men, such as manufacturing. Women still face obstacles, including limited access to funding, lack of training, cultural expectations, and few networking opportunities. The research examines women entrepreneurs in Jeddah, looking at both internal and external factors, such as risk-taking and government support, that influence their success. Data collected through surveys was analyzed using SPSS, revealing a strong positive relationship between risk-taking and government support with entrepreneurial success. The study shows that the more women are supported by these factors, the more likely they are to succeed in their ventures. It also highlights that cultural barriers and regulatory challenges continue to limit women’s potential, particularly in male-dominated sectors like manufacturing.
