Abstract
This capstone project presents the design of a specialized pediatric hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, addressing the urgent need for child-focused healthcare facilities. Aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, the project aims to enhance pediatric care through a human-centered, sustainable, and innovative architectural approach. It integrates clinical efficiency with healing environments and family-centered design. Informed by case studies of Nemours Children’s Hospital (USA) and EKH Children's Hospital (Thailand), the design features 130 beds and comprehensive departments including emergency, outpatient, surgical, and rehabilitation services. The chosen site in northern Jeddah ensures accessibility, community integration, and alignment with future urban development. Ultimately, the project proposes a model pediatric hospital that combines healthcare excellence with emotional support and social value, reflecting a national investment in the well-being of future generations.
