Abstract
Saudi Arabia boasts a wealth of geological and environmental features, including 10 hot springs with temperatures ranging from 50 to 120 degrees Celsius. These springs have potential for therapeutic and meditative benefits, as well as tourism. However, their development and promotion have been neglected and not maintained in Saudi Arabia. This thesis proposes a project to revitalize these hot springs, creating a dedicated space for relaxation and meditation. The project aims to provide a setting that combines nature with healthcare and relaxation, enhancing the healing experience through the integration of natural elements. Chapter one will introduce the project’s overview and discuss the definition, inspiration, goals, concept and philosophy. Chapter two will display the case studies related to the project to help with assuming space program and area percentages, which will be presented in chapter 3. While chapter 4 will analyze site options to select the most appropriate site. The last chapter will conclude the whole thesis.
