Abstract
This study investigates the integration of smart technology into wardrobe and outfit
management to enhance user experience, efficiency, and personalization. Addressing common
challenges such as clutter, disorganization, and decision fatigue, the research explores how
artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and Internet of Things (IoT) can be
leveraged to create a connected smart closet system. The proposed system incorporates
automated inventory tracking, AI-powered outfit recommendations, virtual try-on
functionality, and real-time garment location detection, aiming to streamline clothing selection
and improve storage organization. A mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative
interviews and focus groups with quantitative surveys and prototype testing, was employed to
identify user needs, define design requirements, and validate functional solutions. Historical
analysis traces the evolution of closet design from ancient civilizations to contemporary trends,
highlighting influences from design movements such as Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Bauhaus.
Market research evaluates existing smart closet products, identifying a gap between high-end
aesthetics and advanced technological integration. The resulting product design blends luxury
visual appeal with robust smart features, targeting luxury homeowners, businessmen, and
handicapped users seeking convenience, elegance, and accessibility. This research contributes
to the intersection of fashion, technology, and product design, presenting a functional model
that redefines wardrobe interaction in the digital age.
