Abstract
This chapter provides a comprehensive analysis of the challenges and limitations associated with machine learning techniques in fluid flow analysis. Key issues include data availability, model complexity, and the potential for overfitting. The chapter also reviews generalization difficulties in applying ML models across different flow regimes. Recommendations are made based on the literature and emerging trends identified through a bibliometric analysis to address these issues. These recommendations aim to guide researchers and engineers in effectively utilizing machine learning techniques for fluid flow analysis, enhancing both model performance and reliability.
