Abstract
According to the World Health Organization (WHO, 2010) “a health system consists of all the organizations, institutions, resources, and people whose primary purpose is to improve health.” According to the same report, the building blocks of a modern health system consist of service delivery, health workforce, health information systems, access to essential medicines, financing, and leadership/governance.
